We know that growth is not currently occurring in South Whidbey's NMUGA of Freeland. I would strongly recommend that we plan for and promote urban growth there, rather than growing the rural areas by adopting a solution such as increasing that limit of 35 detached ADU's.

Amid the national climate nightmare of Nov 5, 2024, a few things went right locally, including a WCA that is more energized than ever to counter a new climate denial mindset at the national level.

When we invited proposals for Whidbey Climate Fund grants, we weren’t sure whether we’d get any response. To our delight, we have received NINE great proposals to restore community resilience and reduce climate pollution, right here on Whidbey
